18 Oct We’re hiring: trainee trade mark attorney
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a graduate to join our growing team as a trainee trade mark attorney.
The successful candidate will learn all aspects of filing and prosecuting on trade mark cases while training. They will also have the opportunity to liaise with clients and advise, with the assistance of the trade mark team.
Day to day tasks will include drafting trade mark specifications, filing trade marks at the UKIPO, recording assignments and licenses, filing oppositions at the UKIPO, taking part in negotiations in an attempt to settle matters amicably, and liaising with foreign attorneys around the world on various trade mark matters for clients.
Who should apply
We’re searching for driven graduates with an interest in pursuing a career in Intellectual Property Law. The role will require additional qualifications; therefore, applicants should be willing to proceed with further education whilst working.
On their path to become a qualified trade mark attorney, the successful candidate will complete the Queen Mary trade mark course and will then progress on to the Nottingham Law School trade mark course the following year. These will be done whilst working and will be fully funded by the firm.
