Profile
I graduated from Cambridge University in 2004 with an MSci and MA in Natural Sciences, specialising in Materials Science & Metallurgy. I joined Serjeants in September of the same year.
The nature of my degree enabled me to gain a broad range of scientific knowledge, including the principles involved in the operation, use and production of nanomaterials, semiconductors, and engineering materials, such as metals, ceramics and polymers.
I qualified as a European patent attorney in 2008 and as a chartered UK patent attorney in 2009. I am also a qualified trade mark attorney and help clients to protect their trade marks and designs worldwide.
Outside of work, I’m a bit sporty. As well as being a big Newcastle United fan, I am a keen football player, I have run several marathons and have recently completed an Ironman triathlon.
