Karen Wallis

After finishing my education, I gained a scholarship to a secretarial college in a large pharmaceutical company in the East Midlands where, after graduating, I worked as secretary for the manager of the chemical department. After a couple of months, I was seconded to the IP Department which is where my interest in trade marks developed. In 1978 I moved to a firm of patent and trade mark attorneys in Nottingham where I worked for the senior partner as secretary and paralegal. As the firm expanded, I developed an independent formalities department and became supervisor to the formalities team. As well as quality control, I was responsible for helping with the management of the trade mark portfolio and daily monitoring of the trade mark database. I qualified as a CITMA Paralegal in 1999 and remained with the firm until 2018.

I joined Serjeants in 2019. I can help you with filing trade marks both nationally and internationally, assignments, searching, watching, handling legal documentation and various other trade mark associated formalities.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing and listening to music and live gigs. I enjoy walking in the mountains and by the ocean. I also upcycle preloved furniture and am a lifelong supporter of Notts County.
