Areas I can assist you with are:
I graduated from Southampton University in 1998 with a MEng in Mechanical Engineering with European Studies. I spent the final year of my degree studying at the Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tarbes in the south west of France which was a perfect opportunity to refine my language skills and immerse myself in French culture.
Initially a graduate engineer for GKN plc, I entered the field of intellectual property in 1999, working as a Patent Examiner at the UK Intellectual Property Office. I then joined an East Midlands based firm of patent and trade mark attorneys, qualifying as a European patent attorney in 2005 and as a chartered UK patent attorney the following year. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.
I have been with Serjeants since November 2007 and became a partner in April 2012. I tend to focus on mechanical engineering technologies and have a great deal of experience working with SMEs, universities and overseas clients. I have developed particular expertise in the fields of reduced risk products, medical devices and medical imaging. I am also responsible for maintaining links with our associates in Japan and South Korea.
Away from the office, I enjoy swimming, cycling and having lots of fun with my young family.
