Patent Attorney: Physics/Engineering

Serjeants LLP is expanding and is looking for an ambitious patent attorney to join our busy team in Leicester.

Working alongside our friendly and supportive team of patent and trade mark attorneys to deliver excellent client service to our diverse portfolio of clients, you’ll be contributing to the continued success of the firm.

The role:

The main focus of the role will be drafting patent applications and prosecuting families of patent applications in multiple jurisdictions, drawing on both your legal expertise and technical knowledge. There will also be opportunities to get involved with EPO oppositions and appeals.

You’ll work closely with the partners to support some of our biggest clients and gain exposure to some of our most challenging and interesting cases.

This is a full-time position.

Who should apply:

The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified patent attorney (EPA and/or CPA) with a background in physics or mechanical engineering and with at least two years post-qualification experience. However, we are also happy to consider newly qualified attorneys or part-qualified attorneys who are nearing qualification.
