CITMA is a professional membership organisation that represents trade mark and design professionals. Not only do they provide support within the trade mark profession in the UK, they also organise conferences and events and provide members with newsletters and the CITMA review to enable them to keep up to date with current trade mark issues.

Leanne has been an active member of CITMA since 2009, when she was a trainee attorney and regularly attends their conferences and takes part in webinars to keep up to speed with the current issues and cases within the trade mark world.

As a council member she will help to oversee the running of the committees and working groups and also help to make decisions on policy and strategic matters.

Leanne said:

“Being on the CITMA council is an opportunity for me to represent the smaller firm outside of London. Within the CITMA council I am looking forward to taking on a new role and its associated challenges alongside my day to day trade mark attorney position at Serjeants.”
