Serjeants’ Leanne Hall presents at the CITMA Autumn Conference

Serjeants’ expert trade mark attorney, Leanne Hall, was a guest speaker at this year’s autumn conference hosted by the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) at the ICC in Birmingham.

The annual conference, which took place on 8th November, is a firm calendar fixture for both attorneys in the Serjeants Leanne HallUK and further afield. The conference is used as an opportunity for trade mark attorneys to keep up to date with the current law and network with fellow attorneys.

The year’s event looked at EU oppositions from all angles, whether they are based on registered or unregistered rights or geographical indications. Leanne discussed the latest amendments to the EU trade mark directive and the impact that they will have on UK trade mark law. The conference also highlighted ways to resolve trade mark disputes amicably through mediation.
